Tacky Tuesday - Old Man Painting

I just bought this framed painting yesterday at my local thrift shop. I don't know who this man is but we have started to call him Captain Mel. I love finding painted portraits. It makes me wonder who the person is, who painted them, and why did it end up in a thrift store?

Stop Motion Animation - Wire Puppet Build

Moving forward on my stop motion project I've been researching ways of building figures. You can buy armature kits, but they can be as much as $150! Seeing as how my budget for this entire project is about $50 I needed something much cheaper. I found a tutorial online and built an armature using wire and epoxy putty, it cost me $8.00. By the way, epoxy putty is awesome and I will be sure to keep some in my tool box from now on.

New Sock Monkey Print! Winter Olympics Curling

Okay, I'll admit it. My favorite Winter Olympics competition is curling! I remember first seeing the sport one late night on TV and being absolutely fascinated by it. I wish there was a place I could go try my hand at curling, but for now I'll just have to live vicariously through my sock monkey. Click Here For Prints
